Why Trashing 3400 Blog Posts Was My Greatest Blogging Success

Does this idea confuse you?

How can trashing an entire blog and brand help you succeed?

Most bloggers fear deleting an entire blog. Some bloggers see deleting a blog as a complete failure. I am here to tell you something different.

Deleting a blog may be your only option now. Here’s why: letting go losing ventures makes room for winning ventures.

My Experience

I hated my old blogging niche. Plus I slammed into financial problems working that niche.

Plus blogging did not feel fun to me. Everything came to a head during one night in Fiji.

My host pulled my blog offline. I needed to delete 1000 plus blog posts to be within their terms of service and to go back online.

Even though I hated the niche, I had slammed into financial woes working the niche and I was told unless I deleted 1000 posts I could not get the blog back online, I felt horrified to delete this losing, energetic, agonizing weight because I feared wasting 5 years of my life.

I had worked so hard to be unhappy and to struggle financially. Why not keep working hard, struggling financially and being miserable?

I could hate my life, but at least I would not be wasting my time, right?

Why Might Trashing Your Blog Be the Only Option? 2

Do you see how poisoned the ego becomes by fear? Logically, I should have trashed the blog 2 years prior. Emotionally, I was afraid, and fear almost goaded me to make the stupid, failing decision of holding on to the blog.

I trashed 3400 posts and the entire blog.

Within 2 days, I created Blogging From Paradise. I never looked back.

Why?

I had to take my only option. I had to trash my blog.

Why the Only Option?

Fear blinds you to your mistakes.

Releasing a blog entirely by doing a domain redirect to a new blog is the only way sometimes to face, feel and release that blinding fear.

No other way existed for me to face, own and release the blinding fear-pain of clinging to a boring, depressing, losing venture.

I feared I would be wasting 5 years of past time when I was wasting every second of time clinging to a losing, depressing blog.

Letting go the blog by creating a new blog and doing a domain redirect simply allowed me to see why I struggled for years.

I had to trash the old blog to be 100% straight with myself. I had to trash the old blog to see much of my driver was making money, not having fun.

Let go to grow. Surrender to see yourself and your life clearly.

Release your blog to face, embrace and let go deep, pulsating fears that cripple you.

We all face blogging problems. We all face uncomfortable moments or deep fears.

But sustained, prolonged struggle points to something deeper, suggesting you need to either trash the blog or niche for a clear-thinking, fresh, new, prospering start.

Only you know the answer. Be straight with yourself.
